Wooden Boat Building and Restoration

Project Completed

To complete the boat after all the woodwork was varnished, I carefully removed all the temporary fasteners and installed stainless steel fasteners through out.  The buoyancy tanks were cleaned up, sanded and reinstalled under the seats.  The side stabilizers were cleaned up and mounted on each of the seats to the gunwales.  The original front deck was cleaned up, sanded, polished, buffed, and then reinstalled.  The stern Larsen nameplate corners were cleaned up and reinstalled.  New brass oarlock sockets were installed and secured with silicon bronze screws.  And finally the original handles were reinstalled on the motor mount.

Here are some pictures of the completed project.
